Ms. Shayla leads the children in songs, stories, poems, and games to learn the basics of conversational Spanish in two sessions. Vocabulary is reinforced through immersion and practice.
Fine Art with Frances ByrdWednesdays 3:00-3:30 and 3:30-4:00 PM
Fine Art instruction is provided by Frances Byrd, a classically trained artist with a broad range of art history knowledge and a Major in Illustration. Mrs. Byrd is also practicing artist with a professional studio in her home.
Mrs. Byrd shares her knowledge of art with the children, as well as encourages their individual creativity. She provides each child with individual attention as needed, while giving group instruction on the principles and theories of art. Each child is encouraged to create her own art , as well as participating in instruction-driven activities using fine art quality materials.

Ms. Nichols, our Elementary teacher, leads the children in exploring, experimenting, discussing, and observing matter and its properties, different states of matter, characteristic properties of matter, mixtures versus compounds, chromatography, the Periodic Table, and chemical reactions. The class includes numerous experiments and hands-on work.
