Stephanie Smith-Michielsen, Head of School

Stephanie Smith-Michielsen is a mother of four children and has over 21 years of classroom and whole school administration experience.  She founded Garden of Discovery Montessori in 1999 after obtaining an AMI Montessori diploma from the Montessori Institute of Atlanta and an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Reinhardt University. She is also currently working towards a Masters and Ph.D in Child Psychology from Penn State University. Mrs. Michielsen's four children have all attended Garden of Discovery Montessori.
